For half the world's population, ovarian hormones impact everything, affecting mood, sleep, migraines, cramps, muscle tone, skin, sex drive, productivity, and more; however, the majority of the 2.1 billion females with an ovarian hormone cycle in the world don’t have the knowledge and tools to optimize their lives based on their hormone health and many common. Further, most hormone conditions take 7-10 years to diagnose, leading to downstream severe conditions such as infertility and type 2 diabetes. Aavia is a daily app that helps women track, learn, and optimize their lives based on their hormone cycle. It offers science and evidence-based resources and recommendations, providing personalized advice on lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise tailored to each user's unique cycle. With the capability to easily share this data with healthcare providers, Aavia can expedite the diagnosis of hormone health conditions up to 95%, reducing downstream impact and cost.
Participating in the accelerator helped Aavia in three ways.
Growth Strategy: Enhanced our go-to-market strategy both for direct to consumer and B2B, and enabled us to shape new business models and go-to-market strategy
Enhanced Future Development & Pipeline: business development meetings sharpened our future product roadmap and we are developing partnership agreements with fellow cohort teams that will enable us further develop and enhance our product offering
Enhancing Science & Evidence Backed Product: We plan to collaborate with ASU students for research utilizing Aavia data and partner with Mayo for case studies and clinical studies (e.g. on menstrual migraines), while also determining how Aavia and Mayo could partner to enable working women to get faster answers on hormone conditions
"The MedTech Accelerator has already offered very relevant, thought-provoking programming as well as connected us with clinicians and business professionals who have both validated the need for Aavia as well as provided education, ideas, and resources that have allowed us to better understand the far reaching impact of Aavia and ways to further build out our business model."
