Before Hexoskin, the technology for reporting detailed and continuous health data didn’t exist. Non-portable and invasive monitoring systems were required to capture vital cardiac, respiratory and activity body metrics, which severely limited patients’ and providers’ ability to manage health conditions. Hexoskin released the first washable “Smart Shirt” to continuously monitor factors such as heart rate, breathing rate, activity levels and sleep data.
Working with the MedTech Accelerator program, product designers optimized their line of smart garments, while developing the Hexoskin Connected Health Platform, a communications system that minimizes user setup time and maximizes vital sign monitoring over long periods of time. The platform syncs data to local and remote servers for more efficient health data management and analysis that leads to improved patient outcomes.
"This is an amazing opportunity for a company like Hexoskin to get insight from an organization like Mayo Clinic, meet with all the stakeholders, the administration, IT, and physicians of different specialties, to see how we can be more useful for patients."
