Complex surgical procedures and medical devices are currently learned on patients in the operating theater. This results in increased time and costs to hospitals and additional risks for surgeons and patients. Medical device companies provide much of the education and training required to use their devices through limited and inaccurate means such as cadavers and live pig labs.
ReSuture has conducted groundbreaking research and co-development with the Mayo Clinic. We have had valuable conversations with physicians and staff across the organization. We have additionally brought on The Mayo Clinic's surgical departments as customers, research partners, and ongoing advisors.
"Because of our initial partnership with The Mayo Clinic, we have been able to expand to multiple academic institutions and medical device companies."
